We are being attacked for this TV Commercial

Thursday, December 22nd, 2011

Great news – We start started to be attacked for this Commercial!

Our new Commercial is working! How do we know this? We know this because the same day we started to be attacked for the content, the quality of the responses went up!

The truth can be difficult to confront and that is exactly what this Commercial is doing. Of course we are not trying to make people upset, but on the other hand the present time situation is not good and is difficult to look at.

The problem is that you will not get a warning about this situation, but instead suddenly it will be an reality and then it too late for action. So actually we think that we are doing the viewer a favor by creating a Commercial like this.

Some FOX viewers are complaining and saying “That they know many people there have lost money because of the value of the Dollar is going down and this TV Commercial is reminding them about that”.

That is the purpose of the Commercial. To tell people about that, so we take those “complaints” as positive feedback!

Take a look for yourself and write a comment if you like.

Fake it and Dont Make it!

Monday, November 21st, 2011

The other day on Facebook, we saw a person having as a favorite quote, “Fake it till you make it.” Unfortunately, this happens too often in the video production business.

Fake it till you make it…I don’t think so. Anyone can buy camera equipment and suddenly be a production company. However, this does not mean they offer quality work. They may even give you a strange quote for your project and when problems arise, they will tend to cover it up with technical talk.

Fake it till you make it…That is not quality. Faking it is not the way out. It is, in fact, the wrong way out. Remember one thing, quality is never going out of fashion!

Video marketing opens opportunities to expand into different audiences. Videos are being shared through the Internet on a daily basis, by fans and potential customers themselves. This will drive more traffic to your website which, in turn, will increases potential sales as well as build your branding.

Because the competition is continually growing and other companies are developing more video content, it is important to keep up and take advantage of this opportunity. If you are already behind on your video marketing, you could be losing money in the long run as you are left behind.

The Relationship Between Budgets and Higher Quality Productions

Thursday, September 29th, 2011

When potential clients are shopping for quotes from production companies, some are unfamiliar with the details considered when creating a budget. Therefore, when approaching producers for a quote, they are usually unprepared with a frame of budget. It is helpful for the producer to know how much they have to work with when visualizing the needs of a production. Different production companies produce different levels of production values – from low budget productions to high budgets. There are decent videos produced with low budgets; however, there is truth behind higher budgets allowing for higher quality productions. It is important that you invest your dollars in a corporate video that will reflect the quality of your company.

Here is a general description of what goes into your quote. For starters, all production staff and crew have to be paid a day rate. This includes the producer, director, camera operations, and lighting/sound department. These are the primary positions for every shoot, every size. Equipment rental packages are also necessary to be considered (cameras, dollies, cranes, etc.). These prices will vary. Some productions will require casting, which comes with a fee separate from the actors’ pay. If a company is unable to provide a filming location, location permits and fees become another factor. Of course, a production is being budgeted per day of shooting. Therefore, all fees and rates are multiplied per day. There are many other details considered depending on the size and demand of the production.

It is the producer’s responsibility to delegate where your dollars should be invested. Different aspects of your business could be highlighted more than others to enhance the image of your company. If a shoot is coordinated for four days, maybe a crane is only needed on one day. This will enhance your image and definitely make your company look good. And by choosing to shoot the crane shots on one day will allow you to spend money on highlighting other dynamics, as they should be.

When it comes to post production, editing sessions will either be an hourly or fixed rate depending on the editor. If you are interested in incorporating motion graphics, this also comes with an additional price. Another aspect to consider is music. You can pay to have music composed or purchase the rights to available music.

It is up to you and your company to determine your frame of budget. What can you afford? Do you want a big production with actors and cameras on cranes? Or just a simple interview? It is your decision, but keep aware of the relationship between budgets and higher quality productions. And remember the image you want your company to reflect.

The demand for video production is increasing every month. We live in a face-paced world, and any form of convenience is utilized. Companies are always desperately in search for ways to multitask in order to keep up with the “on-the-go” mentality, and not fall behind.

New technology (Smartphones, iPads and iPhones, et cetera) not only allows elements of video, but new devices encourage the use of video. Due to the rise of video usage, people are becoming more comfortable with the idea of video. New devices advocate the use of video communication, which allows individuals to get accustomed to the convenience of audio and visual imagery, instead of text. Not only is video a convenient form of communication, but viewers are also able to retain information better through seeing and hearing, opposed to simply reading a piece of information. Therefore, with these new handheld devices, video content is rising rapidly and calls for creativity. As experienced professionals at Seven Pictures, we are aware of the competitive field; we are willing to work with you to create inventive ideas in order to achieve your company’s goals and can guarantee satisfaction.

Video Advertising: A Necessity For Success

Monday, July 11th, 2011

“New technologies have made capturing, editing and sharing video much easier. In 2010, an average of 179 million Americans watched videos online each month, with more than 88.6 million watching online on an average day in late 2010 – up 32 percent from the year before, according to the comScore.”

Video advertising is fast becoming a necessity for success, and is one of the many reasons to consider online video for your business. A recent Forbes survey revealed that digital information — specifically online video — will continue to expand wildly and suggested that people are able to absorb and retain double the information when receiving audio with images, as opposed to reading text alone. Thus, video production is becoming more and more prominent in the world of business, and as a competitive enterprise it is crucial to keep up with technological trends!

Due to the amount of stimulation in our culture and the inundation of images and texts surrounding us, individuals are far more apt to watch video advertisements than textual ads. It is also exponentially faster to receive information through rich media forms/online video than is possible to read through a page of copy. This is yet another clear advantage of utilizing video for growing the profitability of your business.

The professionals at Seven Pictures are passionate about staying conversant with new developments in technology, recent studies regarding corporate videos and the latest techniques in executing successful and effective corporate video for you. We look forward to working with you as a new client and providing quality corporate videos from conception through completion.

Video In The Boardroom: Part Two

Thursday, June 9th, 2011

An ongoing series brought to you by Seven Pictures

A recent Forbes survey of senior executives across the country revealed that an astounding 65% visit a vendor’s website after seeing a video of the vendor’s product on YouTube or other media outlets. This is great news for your business! What this means for you is that it’s concretely proven that video drives traffic to your business’ website, which is essentially invaluable for your business’ exposure.

But there’s even bigger news. Further survey results indicated that younger executives (those under 40) are more fully engaged than their older counterparts with this type of media, meaning they are more likely to make a purchase, call a vendor or respond to an ad based solely on watching a company’s video.

Simply put, this survey tells us that if you want to communicate in today’s business environment, you need video to stay relevant. It’s no longer a luxury, but now a necessity for the continued growth of your business.

At Seven Pictures, corporate video is our passion and main area of expertise. We offer quality production of tasteful video with a cinematic touch for you to have on your business website, YouTube or other video sharing sites, which is a great way to increase brand exposure, as well as create new destinations for your marketing video.

New Film to LAUP Los Angeles Universal Preschool

Wednesday, October 28th, 2009

Seven Pictures
Attention: AC

I just wanted to take a moment to thank you for the incredible job you did on the Los Angeles Universal Preschool fundraising video production. Our mandate was not a simple one, yet you navigated the multiple layers of needs and wishes to produce an engaging, sharply produced and effective video.

Your personal vision and ability to tell our story was what impressed us the most. You were able to express our core mission by listening to our families, providers and to the community that we serve, and by allowing them to express what it is about LAUP that makes a difference in their lives and in the lives of their children. You carefully balanced the many testimonials with riveting footage, clever montages and voiceovers. On a creative level, you helped to show the warmth and humanity of our CEO, COO and all of our spokespeople through great backdrops, camera angles and lighting.

The initial response to the video has been one of excitement and pride both internally and in our community, The LAUP story is finally being told with Los Angeles County as the context and our families, stakeholders and advocates as our spokespeople.

We look forward to working with you in the future, AC. We plan on creating shorter versions of the video and possibly exploring video news releases or other channels of distribution for our visual message. I offer my heartfelt thanks to you and your team and please do not hesitate to use my name as a reference at any time; it would be my pleasure.

Warmly,
Eva Brune
