“Ian Barnes is an extremely gifted film director and his unique perspective will only add to and even enhance the cinematic quality in our corporate video productions,” says our Seven Pictures Creative Director, Asbjorn Christiansen. “We are raising the standards of corporate video production because we treat every production with the expertise and standards of film making to ensure the best production value for each and every client.”

Our production company is dedicated to producing corporate videos that present a clearer, elevated message in the best way possible way, establish emotional connection, engage viewers and create relationships, bring pride to employees, and tell the story of who the brand is and what they do that drives them. Seven Pictures’ unique methods and professional film production experts use cutting edge equipment and classic cinematic video craftsmanship techniques for a more impressive and entertaining professional video product. We are in the business of telling the story of our corporate clients; and it’s no different than telling the story within a film script. So corporate video production should be treated the same, with the same expertise and attention to every detail.

“A good corporate video is an experience where viewers are just in it,” says Christiansen. “You understand and you listen to what was said, you remember it and you don’t forget it. We live in a visual, fast-paced world where people demand entertainment and instant gratification. If a message fails to be communicated in a fast and powerful way within the video, it is lost. Our goal is to deliver the message and maintain the high level of cinematic quality in every video.”

From beginning to end, the experts at Seven Pictures video production team ensure the desired message comes across with only the highest quality deliverables that exceeds expectations. From the colors to the warmth, and all other components that determine cinematic quality, we ensure that everything is instilled in each corporate video produced by Seven Pictures. Need A Quote For A Video Production – What Is Your Frame Of Budget?

Monday, September 17th, 2012

Need a quote for a video production?

No problem, we can provide that – BUT what is your frame of budget?

We have found that people are reluctant to provide this information because they assume that their “frame of budget” will in fact be the quoted production budget.

This is in one way TRUE but in another way, absolutely NOT…

What happens when we are asked to come up with a quote for a video production – we are actually going through what we think would be the best way to produce the video production you are asking for. We invest your money to provide the highest possible production value within budget. It’s a process to determine which concepts, locations, equipment, and people would be the best fit for your production.  This is where we need to know what kind of budget we have to work with. If we do not get a real frame of budget, all we can do is guess and hope that we guess correctly.  But our chances of guessing wrong? Quite big. Video production can be achieved on many levels within many different budgets and still be very effective but without knowing what kind of budget is available, it’s impossible to plan for it.

Needless to say, video production needs planning and a reasonable budget to be successful. It’s hard for the production company to gauge from the beginning what is needed for your specific product or service in video presentation.  Depending on what kind of product or service you want to promote, there are so many different factors within each production that we cannot just assume what’s needed.

Let’s say that you are going to set up a huge show and want to have the setup documented and use video to help sell tickets and promote the show– it only makes sense to include video production into your marketing budget.

If you say to us, we have between $50k – $75k as the frame of budget but would really want to stay as close to $50k as possible- then we know from the beginning what we have to work inside. Then we can determine whether or not using a helicopter aerial shot would be realistic. And if it would add great value for the final product, we can adjust the budget accordingly to keep the shot and still stay close to your frame of budget. But if we had no idea what that was, planning for your production investments would be pointless efforts.

Our job is to invest your frame of budget into the highest possible production value – we are not just trying to make a higher profit based on your budget.  We are actually looking for the budget to help us determine the best ways to invest your money into the highest production value.

We recently produced a commercial for a gold company and felt that having a 3D animation of gold bars falling into the frame and land on a table would really help the message come to life– we could have used still shots or unoriginal stock video footage of gold bars already sitting on the table – but we concluded that an animation would really create greater impact and be much stronger visually.

If we did not know the frame of budget and was up against another production company, of course our production quote would have been higher– BUT we offered a great 3D animation as part of our solution – and that makes a big difference!

Of course we could provide endless solutions for the client and make many different price quotes – But that isn’t ideal for either party. There’s a lot of creative thinking that goes into planning a production to come up with a budget and this would mean many hours of wasted time. As for the client, why would someone want to look at budgets and productions that are not in their ideal range- whether it’s too high or even too low? Video production can be successful within different frame of budgets but only when we know what’s available, can we provide accurate planning and determine production investments.

The demand for video production is increasing every month. We live in a face-paced world, and any form of convenience is utilized. Companies are always desperately in search for ways to multitask in order to keep up with the “on-the-go” mentality, and not fall behind.

New technology (Smartphones, iPads and iPhones, et cetera) not only allows elements of video, but new devices encourage the use of video. Due to the rise of video usage, people are becoming more comfortable with the idea of video. New devices advocate the use of video communication, which allows individuals to get accustomed to the convenience of audio and visual imagery, instead of text. Not only is video a convenient form of communication, but viewers are also able to retain information better through seeing and hearing, opposed to simply reading a piece of information. Therefore, with these new handheld devices, video content is rising rapidly and calls for creativity. As experienced professionals at Seven Pictures, we are aware of the competitive field; we are willing to work with you to create inventive ideas in order to achieve your company’s goals and can guarantee satisfaction.

What’s The Difference Between Commercials And Product Videos?

Wednesday, July 6th, 2011

As a corporate video production company, one common question that people tend to ask us is:

What’s the difference between Commercials and Product videos?

If you are new to video advertisement, this blog post will shed some light on the pertinent details that will be beneficial to your business. Building a strong brand identity is step one in advertising, so accurately portraying your ideal image of your business is one of Seven Pictures’ main goals.

Commercials or Product videos: which to choose?

When it comes to advertising, commercials are the most common form we find. Commercials publicize your business as a whole while product videos “zoom in” to focus on a specific product that you want to sell. While both types of advertising are informative, commercials tend to have a more cinematic touch to catch the viewer’s attention, advertising your company in its entirety. But if you’re looking to sell a particular product, naturally a product video’s specificity would suit your needs perfectly. Product videos are usually web-based videos that draw attention to a specific product and, in a clear illustration, introduce it while clarifying its functions, features and its advantage or convenience for the consumer.

The making of product videos does not require a full size crew to create a noteworthy, high-quality professional video. Unlike commercials (because product videos are more demonstrative and informative) the making of product videos is straightforward and simple, but achieve the same high-quality results as any of our commercial videos. Commercial shoots demand more attention from different crew members, therefore, requiring a larger crew to fulfill a variety of positions.

The main focus around the welcome video for Galerie Michael was to introduce the gallery and its CEO, Michael Schwartz, with a cinematic look. Being that this video is presenting a fine art gallery and a CEO with a keen eye for aesthetics, it became Seven Pictures’ goal to present the video with both professional and artistic taste.

Galerie Michael

It was important for Seven Pictures to match the video with the gallery’s company image. This video is the first preview of the gallery that the viewers will see on the Galerie Michael’s website. Therefore, the video had to be attractive, informative, and alluring.

Galerie Michael

Under 2 minutes and 20 seconds, Seven Pictures presented a very attractive and captivating welcome video for Galerie Michael. After a few hours of filming, an impressive amount of material was collected, which brought so much depth into the video and helped to deliver a powerful impression.

The footage was carefully selected to relate the philosophy and expertise of Michael Schwartz to the gallery. Seven Pictures also featured the friendly faces of the staff at Galerie Michael. The gallery atmosphere was elegantly portrayed and highly developed.

With the completion of their welcome video, Galerie Michael is able to launch their new website! On the face of their website, they are able to display a cinematic video business card that features the CEO, Michael Schwartz, as well as a preview of the gallery environment. The video allows viewers to see the CEO and hear his philosophy about art collecting, which gives the viewer a more personable relationship to the gallery.
