Video Business Card | Galerie Michael Rodeo Drive, Los Angeles

Tuesday, June 28th, 2011

Seven Pictures recently produced a welcome video for the website of international fine art gallery, Galerie Michael.

Galerie Michael is located on the renowned Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills, California.
From Rembrandt to Picasso, this gallery is committed to exhibiting centuries of top quality European art. The gallery carries a worldwide reputation for its collection of French pre-impressionist works. The gallery is lead by founder, Michael Schwartz, who holds solid relationships with the families and working colleagues of prominent European artists.

Michael Schwartz describes the elegant atmosphere of the gallery while expressing his knowledge. In a few powerful sentences Schwartz welcomes the viewer into his gallery while they feel the passion, enjoy the aesthetics and experience a captivatingly artistic side of corporate video.

A welcome video is an opportunity to make a positive first impression. Seven Pictures worked to create a video that would captivate the viewers’ attention and lead them into the site while remaining informative.

The main focus around the welcome video for Galerie Michael was to introduce the gallery and its CEO, Michael Schwartz, with a cinematic look. Being that this video is presenting a fine art gallery and a CEO with a keen eye for aesthetics, it became Seven Pictures’ goal to present the video with both professional and artistic taste.

Galerie Michael

It was important for Seven Pictures to match the video with the gallery’s company image. This video is the first preview of the gallery that the viewers will see on the Galerie Michael’s website. Therefore, the video had to be attractive, informative, and alluring.

Galerie Michael

Under 2 minutes and 20 seconds, Seven Pictures presented a very attractive and captivating welcome video for Galerie Michael. After a few hours of filming, an impressive amount of material was collected, which brought so much depth into the video and helped to deliver a powerful impression.

The footage was carefully selected to relate the philosophy and expertise of Michael Schwartz to the gallery. Seven Pictures also featured the friendly faces of the staff at Galerie Michael. The gallery atmosphere was elegantly portrayed and highly developed.

With the completion of their welcome video, Galerie Michael is able to launch their new website! On the face of their website, they are able to display a cinematic video business card that features the CEO, Michael Schwartz, as well as a preview of the gallery environment. The video allows viewers to see the CEO and hear his philosophy about art collecting, which gives the viewer a more personable relationship to the gallery.

The final results inspired Michael Schwartz to change their gallery presentations and scholarly material into video. After viewing the final product, Schwartz and the gallery staff immediately projected several potential video projects to be produced by Seven Pictures.

Award-Winning Nokia Theater LA Live Project | Clark Construction Group

Saturday, May 14th, 2011

When Seven Pictures helped Clark Construction tell the story of its part in the Award-Winning Nokia Theater LA Live project, sponsored by AEG, it found the right context was the revitalization of Downtown Los Angeles, culminating in the completion of the 7,100 seat concert theater, constructed in 22 months on schedule, and on budget.

When the video project started with a certain budget in mind, Seven Pictures was able to provide a powerful video presenting the story of downtown L.A.’s rise, decline and renaissance. A blend of camera establishment shots, pans and zooms incorporating historic video and photo stills with movement, transitions, voice over narration and a soundtrack worked to engage the viewer.

The video provides an overview of Clark Construction’s work in L.A. ― from constructing a 2.7 million sq. ft. addition to the L.A. Convention Center, to L.A. City Hall’s seismic rehabilitation, to renovating the LAX Tom Bradley International Terminal, to completion of the Nokia Theater LA Live project ― at a very reasonable cost.

“The creative approach to the project was a stroke of genius and brought the video to another level,” says Erica Hansen, Marketing Coordinator for Clark Construction Group. “I truly felt that Seven Pictures was collaborating with me on this project.”

Fifteen Minutes of Inspiration

Saturday, April 30th, 2011

Project Profile:

Clark Construction Nokia Award Video

Situation

Shortly after celebrating its 100th anniversary, Clark Construction completed work on a project for AEG, one of the leading sports and entertainment presenters in the world. The project was the Nokia Theater, next to Staples Center, in the heart of downtown Los Angeles.

When AEG was notified it would be receiving the prestigious “Q Award” from the Alliance for Quality Construction for the Nokia, Clark Construction was invited to address the audience at the awards ceremony. They had fifteen minutes with a captive audience—an audience full of potential clients. The objective was to commend AEG and at the same time present themselves favorably to the group.

When Clark Construction contacted Seven Pictures six weeks before the event, there was no script, no budget, no firm ideas—only a very fixed and inflexible deadline.

Project type

Corporate video for public relations

Project span

May–June (six weeks)

Production challenges

Six week deadline with absolutely no leeway.

Construction was completed so no possibility of filming during the theater’s construction.

The piece had to be a tribute to AEG, not a promotion for Clark, but at the same time must show Clark favorably.

Key Clark personnel on vacation during parts of the video production.

Solutions

Seven Pictures focused on the history of downtown Los Angeles, and how AEG, with the help of Clark Construction, was contributing to the rebirth of downtown LA.

Combining stock footage, new footage and special effects, Seven Pictures wove a fascinating narrative that successfully accomplished the client’s needs and entertained the audience.

Even with Clark personnel on vacation, the approval lines still ran smoothly. From rough assembly forward, each cut was available online with time codes—the client could view the cut and make comments with time notations for fast reference.

Benefits to client

Once the project kicked off, Seven Pictures solved the situation, from concept through full execution.

The video was produced on schedule and within budget.

The video was well received, with audience praise following the awards event.

From the customer

“… We did have a tight timeline, but you brought it together with time to spare. The creative approach to the project was a stroke of genius and brought the video to another level. I felt in the loop as for a the progress of the video and that you were taking care of my project…”

New Film to LAUP Los Angeles Universal Preschool

Seven Pictures
Attention: AC

I just wanted to take a moment to thank you for the incredible job you did on the Los Angeles Universal Preschool fundraising video production. Our mandate was not a simple one, yet you navigated the multiple layers of needs and wishes to produce an engaging, sharply produced and effective video.

Your personal vision and ability to tell our story was what impressed us the most. You were able to express our core mission by listening to our families, providers and to the community that we serve, and by allowing them to express what it is about LAUP that makes a difference in their lives and in the lives of their children. You carefully balanced the many testimonials with riveting footage, clever montages and voiceovers. On a creative level, you helped to show the warmth and humanity of our CEO, COO and all of our spokespeople through great backdrops, camera angles and lighting.

The initial response to the video has been one of excitement and pride both internally and in our community, The LAUP story is finally being told with Los Angeles County as the context and our families, stakeholders and advocates as our spokespeople.

We look forward to working with you in the future, AC. We plan on creating shorter versions of the video and possibly exploring video news releases or other channels of distribution for our visual message. I offer my heartfelt thanks to you and your team and please do not hesitate to use my name as a reference at any time; it would be my pleasure.

Warmly,
Eva Brune

Clark Construction Acknowledges AEG

Clark Construction decided to do a corporate video for two reasons: To illustrate their participation in revitalizing downtown Los Angeles by building the new Nokia Theater, and to acknowledge Anschutz Entertainment Group (AEG) for spearheading the revitalization project.

DownTown LosAngeles

Downtown Los Angeles

Years ago, downtown LA had lost some of it’s glitter and AEG envisioned returning it to a bustling and dynamic area. With the participation of many, including Clark Construction, AEG realized this dream. Together, Clark Construction and AEG completed the award winning Nokia Theater, the first in AEG’s Live Development.

To commemorate the event, Clark Construction asked Seven Pictures to create a corporate video highlighting the construction, and as a salute to the vision of AEG. The video tells the history of downtown LA and how Clark Construction assisted AEG in their vision. Click below to watch the Clark Construction corporate video:

Seven Pictures was delighted to share in this project and was honored when Clark Construction wrote to tell them how pleased they were with the video. To view the Clark Construction letter click here:
